Unisys Positioned in Leaders Quadrant in 2009 Outsourcing Magic Quadrant ReportsBLUE BELL, Pa., April 16, 2009 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that it has been positioned in the “Leaders” quadrant in two recent Gartner, Inc. 2009 North American Magic Quadrant reports on Desktop Outsourcing and Help Desk Outsourcing Services.
Unisys received its position in the Gartner Magic Quadrant reports through evaluation of the company’s ability to execute and completeness of vision. Client references accounted for 70 percent of each service provider’s score in the 2009 reports. In 2008 alone, Unisys teams handled more than 11.5 million help desk and desktop support calls worldwide for clients.
According to Gartner, leaders in help desk outsourcing are those who "perform well, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership positions in the market." Leaders in desktop outsourcing services are those who "perform their service solutions skillfully, have a clear vision of the desktop outsourcing services market's direction, and are actively building and improving their competencies to sustain their leadership positions."
